ViTeS vzw is a social circular enterprise and sheltered workshop.

Our mission is clear: to achieve maximum employment and employability for people distanced from the regular labor market. We do this concretely through the collection, processing, and sale of reusable products in 12 Kringwinkels, supplemented by hubs and support services in Flemish Brabant and Brussels.

Every day, approximately 750 employees of more than 50 nationalities dedicate themselves to fulfilling this social and economic mission. As an SDG Ambassador, we do this by working safely and efficiently, with care for people, products, and the environment.

ViTeS is building a sustainable organization together with its employees, with attention to good governance, financial health, and a sound commercial foundation.

Due to the impending retirement of the current management, we are looking for a General Manager (m/f/x) who combines people-oriented leadership with strategic and entrepreneurial insight.


The function

As General Manager, you have day-to-day responsibility for ViTeS and chair the Executive Committee.

You combine people-oriented leadership with entrepreneurship and decisiveness. You safeguard the societal mission, while simultaneously taking responsibility for the economic and commercial sustainability of the organization. You are ultimately responsible for:

  • the general operation and strategic direction of the organization
  • the finance and prevention departments
  • cooperation with and reporting to the governing body
  • the commercial performance of the organization

You represent ViTeS as an employer within social dialogue and are the face of the organization to external stakeholders such as local authorities, partners, and sector organizations.


Your assignment

  • Directing, supporting, and strengthening the management team, with clear priorities and decisions
  • Monitoring and strengthening financial and commercial sustainability (subsidies, revenue, margins, personnel costs)
  • Translating the social mission into a realistic and high-performing economic model
  • Taking calculated commercial risks and making decisions where necessary
  • Anchoring safety, care, and efficiency in policy and daily practice
  • Creating clarity, trust, and cohesion within the organization
  • Assuming a connecting but also guiding role in consultation structures (Works Council, Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work)
  • Active and strategic networking and external representation of ViTeS

Bookkeeper (m/f/x) - Boortmeerbeek

What are you going to do?

Together with your colleagues, you ensure accurate and efficient accounting. You process financial data precisely, maintain an overview, and help support the financial health of our organization. Additionally, you actively contribute ideas for optimizations and improvements.

In concrete terms, this means:

Accounting & administration

  • You provide support in accounts payable and receivable management, payments, and claims.
  • You record bank and cash transactions and manage the general ledger and subsidiaries.
  • You process payroll journal entries and social security contributions.
  • You record investments, track depreciation, and manage the statement of assets.

Reporting & closures

  • You prepare interim financial statements.
  • You assist in preparing periodic closings and the year-end closing.
  • You assist in preparing the balance sheet and the annual accounts.
  • You contribute to the analytical accounting and financial reporting for the Executive Board and the Board of Directors.

Analysis, optimization and tax obligations

  • You analyze financial data and work with Excel (including pivot tables).
  • You prepare VAT returns and submit them.
  • You assist with internal and external audits and guide audits by the auditor.
  • You contribute ideas regarding process optimization, efficiency gains, and cost control.
  • You assist in the preparation of the annual budget and conduct variation analyses.

As a team leader in our sorting department, you play a key role at ViTeS. Thanks to your organizational skills, coaching approach, and passion for textiles, you ensure that our stores and branches are always well-stocked.

  • Organizing & Planning – Together with your colleagues, you ensure the smooth planning, administration, and organization of the sorting department (sorting and pricing).
  • Managing & guiding a team – You coach a diverse team and help employees find their place within the department, in close collaboration with the career guidance service.
  • Inventory management – You ensure a smooth flow of textiles and guarantee that our stores and branches are supplied on time.
  • Support promotions – You select goods for special store promotions.
  • Monitoring the cleaning team – You coordinate and monitor the operation of the cleaning team so that the workspaces remain neat and orderly.
  • Optimize – You identify bottlenecks and propose improvements to the Coordinator.
  • Collaboration – You participate in meetings to strengthen operations and communication.
  • Bringing safety & structure – You ensure a safe, efficient, and tidy workplace where everyone can work smoothly.
  • Administration – You closely follow up on the department's administration.
